This cost is far lower than the cost of direct CNC machining of the entire part

Investment casting is a precision casting process. The production process of investment casting is relatively complicated and requires more than a dozen processes to complete. Such as mold making, wax injection, wax assembly, slurry coating, stuccoing, dewaxing, casting, shell removal and other processes. Investment casting mainly uses wax molding to manufacture metal parts with relatively complex structures. Precision castings can usually be used to replace precision CNC machined parts, but for some metal parts with particularly high precision requirements or relatively simple structures, we will consider using CNC machining the entire part. We have a dedicated engineering department that will evaluate based on the drawings and usage requirements, and recommend to customers what process to use to produce the product.

Investment casting can use a variety of metal materials, such as stainless steel materials (SS304, SS316, etc.), carbon steel materials (C45, 42CrMo, etc.), aluminum alloy materials, copper alloy materials, etc. The selection of specific materials needs to consider factors such as the use of the final product and the required physical and chemical properties. In addition, each material has its specific melting point and other machining characteristics, and the specific solution needs to be finalized based on the actual situation.
